Project: Former Courthouse, Melton

In 2016 Coleman Architects assisted Melton City Council with the conversion of the former Melton Courthouse to a café and visitor centre as part of their redevelopment program for the Melton Town Centre. This required conservation works to the slate roof, damaged timberwork and brickwork, construction of new access ramps and extensive decking to expand the usable area of the café, and the creation of a kitchen and other amenities in the building. The former Melton Courthouse is included in the Heritage Overlay of the Melton Planning Scheme.

In 2020 we remain involved with Melton City Council to assist with further development of the building following the success of the initial project.
