Project: Napier Waller House (2011)
Located on a large lot overlooking Darebin Creek, the house was built in 1922 by the artist Mervyn Napier Waller (1893-1972) to his own design. In later years he added a studio on the south side of the house, and later again, a new free-standing studio at the rear of the house. The house and property were bequeathed to the people of Victoria by his widow, Christian Waller, and is included on the Victorian Heritage Register. In 2012 Coleman Architects were engaged by the Committee of Management to document and oversee conservation works to the exterior of the house and studio.
