Project: ‘Tintara’, Rippon Lea

‘Tintara’ was constructed in 1923 to a design by Edward Billson of architects Billson and Lippincott. Both had previously worked for Walter Burley Griffin, and Billson brought his interpretation of the American Prairie School to Tintara.

Coleman Architects were engaged by the owners of Tintara, which is included on the Victorian Heritage Register, to resolve structural issues and oversee general conservation and restoration works, and to prepare a design proposal for future renovations to the kitchen and bathrooms.
